Throughout 2017, our program will continue to evolve by making some changes to the Elite member category qualifying rules.

Starting on January 1, 2017, to make it easier for you to recognize the kilometers that are valid for qualification, these will be called Elite KMS. That way, you can tell the difference between them and LATAM Pass KMS., which are earned by flying or making purchases at associated businesses.

To calculate your Elite KMS., you'll continue to use the distance you've traveled multiplied by a percentage that varies depending on the fare you've chosen. This applies to flights purchased starting on January 1, 2017:

Bear in mind that:

  • For flights purchased before January 1, 2017, you must consider the earning percentages valid at the time of purchase. You can review them here.
  • All these qualifying rule modifications are valid for members with official residence in Australia.
