LATAM operates special flights to repatriate passengers
LATAM Airlines Group is working to provide flights for passengers who are currently unable to return to their home countries
LATAM Airlines Group S.A. has launched a program to transport passengers who have been unable to travel home following border closures in some of the countries where it operates. To date, more than 500 people have been repatriated, thanks to coordinated efforts with national authorities that have granted landing and take-off permits for these special flights.
"We are doing everything possible to help passengers who are unable to return to home with special flights," said Roberto Alvo, Chief Commercial Officer and CEO-elect, LATAM Airlines Group.
LATAM is in the process of contacting affected passengers to coordinate their returns.
Affected passengers with tickets on other airlines can request to have them transferred to LATAM, which will be able to transport them subject to seat availability.
