LATAM informs about the gradual resumption of flights following Huracán Irma
LATAM Airlines has reprogramed and/or canceled flights to/from Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Havana (Cuba), Miami and Orlando (USA) due to Hurricane Irma. The company is gradually resuming operations to Miami, Florida.
The company has extended the period for flight changes and refunds, and is now offering options to all passengers with scheduled flights to these destinations from September 5 until September 16 to modify their journey via the ‘My Trips’ section of latam.com or the LATAM Contact Center.
To all passengers with flights to any of these four destinations between September 5 and 16, LATAM recommends that they first review their 'Flight Status' via the latam.com website, where the most up-to-date information is available. Likewise, LATAM reminds passengers with connecting flights on third-party airlines to check their flight status before travelling.
The company is monitoring meteorological conditions closely and will continue to communicate any updates relating to its operation through its established channels.
Changes and refunds
Passengers with scheduled flights to/from Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Havana (Cuba), Miami and Orlando (United States) between September 5 and 16, 2017 can choose from one of the following options:
- Date / flight changes (same origin-destination):
All passengers with affected or non-affected flights who wish to change dates/flight without penalty or fare differences can do so from today and travel up until 25 days after the original date of their flight. After 25 days from the original date of departure, any change will be subject to the corresponding fare difference and the validity of the ticket.
- Change of route:
All passengers with affected or non-affected flights can request a route change without penalty, subject to any fares differences and the validity of the ticket.
Refunds apply without penalty only for passengers with flights to these four destinations between September 5 and 11, 2017 that have been affected by itinerary changes.
