LATAM informs about operation at Auckland Airport, New Zealand

Santiago de Chile, September 17, 2017 21:00

LATAM Airlines continues to fly to/from Auckland Airport, New Zealand despite the airport’s fuel shortage – caused by damage to its supply pipeline – which is affecting all airlines.

Until the fuel supply at Auckland Airport is fully restored, LATAM flight LA800 – that operates the route Sydney (Australia)-Auckland-Santiago (Chile) – will have to make an additional fuel stop in Papeete, Tahiti, adding approximately three hours in journey time. The flight will maintain its scheduled departure times in both Sydney and Auckland.

The company is working to ensure that all passengers with onward connections in Santiago are able to reach their final destinations.

Passengers can review their up-to-date flight status in the ‘My Trips’ section of or alternatively call the LATAM Contact Center.

LATAM apologises for the potential inconvenience this situation may cause and reiterates its commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality of service.
