Boarding

The passenger is required to check in (with all required documents) in advance as follows:

Connections at different airports must be treated as independent legs for each airport, i.e. the passenger must reclaim his/her animal on first arrival and re-check it at the connection airport.

Fees - animals transported in the cabin

Transportation of live animals in the cabin is conditional on payment of the respective service and is billed to the final destination.

*BRL 200 for the leg Ciudad del Este–Asunción–Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. In this case, PETc may only be purchased at the airport.

 

*Values in foreign currency are fixed and were converted in accordance with the exchange rates on 06/25/2014. However, values in Reals are subject to exchange-rate variations according to date of purchase. Fees are valid per leg for flights operated by TAM Airlines.

In the case of connections at different airports (where the passenger reclaims the animal at the first arrival and checks it again), the fee from point of origin to final destination will be charged.

Animals transportation in cabin is not accepted on Boeing 767 aircrafts.

Domestic flights (origin and destination within Brazil)

Transportation of live animals as checked baggage is conditional on payment of the respective service and is billed to the final destination as excess baggage.

Fee of R$ 90 (ninety Reals) + (Total weight of transportation box and animal multiplied by 0.5% of full tariff of leg to be flown).

In the case of connections at different airports (where the passenger reclaims the animal at the first arrival and checks it again), the fee from point of origin to final destination will be charged.

 

International flights

Transportation of live animals as baggage is conditional upon payment of the respective service, even for codeshare or interline flights. The service is billed to the final destination. Billing for international flights is applied in accordance with the allowance system applicable to that particular leg of the journey and in line with the information below:

 

Values - Weight System Allowance

Fee of USD 50 + Excess Baggage + (*) Fee/Tax.

(*) Some countries require charging of a mandatory fee or government tax.

 

Values - Piece System Allowance

The value of 2 (two) excess baggage pieces is charged, with no service fee applied.

The value will be charged according to origin/destination.
