LATAM is recognized as the most punctual airline group in the world
The reports of both consultancy firms specializing in the airline industry, are highly recognized. The OAG category includes the operators with the best compliance with the OTP (On-time-performance) indicator between January and May 2021.
Cirium's monthly “On time performance” report, corresponding to May 2021, once again confirms LATAM Group in first place among Latin American operators, a position it has held since January of this year.
The two most relevant consultancy firms in terms of punctuality in the airline industry, Official Airline Guide (OAG) and Cirium, recognized LATAM Group in first place worldwide and in Latin America, respectively. In the case of the OAG ranking corresponding to January and May 2021, the achievement is based on compliance with the OTP (On-time-performance) indicator.
Meanwhile, the “On time performance” report of the Cirium airline group from May 2021, reaffirms LATAM's leadership with a 94.68% punctuality percentage and first place among Latin American operators. Cirium has recognized the LATAM Group in first place in punctuality since January 2021.
“We are committed to taking care of our customers' time and we make every effort to ensure that each of our flights takes off and lands on time. We will continue working with our teams to maintain this compliance and thus, continue to be the best travel option in Latin America,” said LATAM Airlines Group CEO Roberto Alvo.
The measurements include the OTP (On-time performance) of the airlines, which collects the itinerary compliance data published by each operator.
These recognitions are added to the data provided by OAG and Cirium, which highlight the group's performance in punctuality during 2019 in the “Mega Airlines” and “Global Network” categories, respectively. It should be noted that the organizations did not perform measurements during 2020.
