Lacma

One of the largest museums in the United States, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art has a collection of over 150,000 pieces, including everything from ancient Greek and Islamic artifacts to modern works of art by such artists as Picasso, Kandinsky and Miró.

Hauser Wirth and Schimmel

Founded in Switzerland, this gallery opened a location in Los Angeles in the first half of 2016. With a pleasant terrace, the lovely building has a European touch and contains, in addition to the collection, a bookstore and the recently opened restaurant Manuela, which offers a seasonal menu.

Walt Disney Concert Hall

The home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic was designed by Frank Gehry, an architect who is famous for his unusual buildings (he also created the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and the Louis Vuitton Foundation for Creation in Paris). Hammer Museum

A combination museum and cultural center, this venue hosts innovative exhibitions, film festivals and concerts. Its permanent collection contains mainly contemporary and modern pieces.

Moca

With three locations in the city, the Museum of Contemporary Art has a collection that focuses on works created after the 1940s. Among the exhibited artists are such important names as Roy Lichtenstein and Greg Colson.

The Broad

Opened around a year ago, this museum (with a white honeycomb-like outer structure) attracts a crowd that enjoys the universe of the arts. The collection’s highlights include works by Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol.
