Going for a walk in the historic city center is a great activity. When you live here, you don’t pay attention to details, like the cathedral.
Casa Gangotena, which overlooks Plaza San Francisco, a region that’s been occupied since the Inca era. Another option is the towers of the Basilica.
Museo de la Ciudad, which tells the story of Quito, at Plaza San Francisco.
Locro (a typical soup made with potatoes) is quite popular. And Ecuadorian ceviche is also great; I think everyone that comes to Ecuador should try it.
La Ronda, in the historic city center, which, at night, is a lively region. We also have the Zona Rosa, where there’s plenty of music.
