How do flight attendants prepare for the flights?

Arley Falcone

Way before the plane takes off...

The job of flight attendants starts way before passenger boarding. According to chief purser Arley Falcone, there’s a list of procedures that start an hour before boarding.

It’s when the professionals clock in. Then the whole team participates in a safety briefing, where they discuss the best ways to attend the passengers. Then, the pilot shares information like the total number of passengers and the types of cargo onboard.

It’s time to go to the aircraft to check the safety equipment. Only then do the handlers get the green light to start boarding procedures, but not before warning us of passengers that require special assistance. After that, we are all set to welcome passengers with a smile on our faces.
