The Pantanal


Ocelots, jaguars, iguanas, blue macaws, toucans... These are just a few of the species that inhabit the Pantanal. The drought period, when the creatures spend more time outside their lairs, is between May and September.


Great Barrier Reef


Located in the region of Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef attracts divers with its more than 1,500 species of fish. Google Maps registered the area in 3D images that can be explored using Street View just like the streets of a city.


Everglades National Park

United States

This national park, around a two-hour drive from Miami, is famous for its population of crocodiles. On a boat tour through the swampy area you can also spot panthers and sea turtles.


Laguna Colorada


This lake with reddish waters is located inside the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve and it’s usually on the itinerary of people visiting the Salar de Uyuni. The region is filled with James’s flamingos, in addition to other, less-frequent species of the bird, like the Andean flamingo and the Chilean flamingo.




On Isla de Santa Cruz you can visit the Cerro Dragón, inhabited by Galapagos land iguanas. Meanwhile, the higher part of Isla de San Cristóbal is home to Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, one of the reproduction centers for giant tortoises.


Isla Holbox


This island is around a three-hour bus ride from Cancun. Between May and September, the turquoise-blue waters are visited by whale sharks, the biggest fish in the world.


Pacaya Samiria Reserve


This area is home to millions of species of insects, mammals, reptiles, and birds. Crossing the waters of the Amazon River, you’ll spot river dolphins, slots and monkeys hiding in the trees, in addition to snakes and iguanas camouflaged in the landscape.


Isla Martillo


It’s no coincidence that this island is known as Pinguinera: between October and April, this stretch of land in the Beagle Channel welcomes thousands of penguins, which come to the island to mate and molt.


Kruger National Park

South Africa

This park is home to hundreds of species: around 150 mammal species and over 500 bird species. The famous big five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), the most popular animals on safaris, can be found here.


Channel Island National Park

United States

This park in California is close to the Santa Barbara coast and is known for its colonies of seals, elephant seals and dolphins. At certain times of the year it’s possible to spot gray whales (between December and March) and blue whales (during the summer).
