The final season of Game of Thrones is now available on individual screens and the LATAM Play app. Produced by HBO, the show, which premiered in 2011, became a hit among audiences and critics: in seven seasons, it won 47 Emmy Awards. The final season, released in 2019, had a record-breaking 32 Emmy nominations.
Inspired by A Song of Ice and Fire, by American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones, tells the story of the power struggles between the families Lannister, Stark, and Targaryen to rule the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the fictitious medieval universe where the plot takes place.
Based on the bestselling book series by George R.R. Martin and fueled by storylines that have gone beyond the narratives set forth in those novels, Game of Thrones is set in the fantasy continents of Westeros and Essos, where summer can last years and winter can last even longer. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss serve as showrunners in the original HBO production.
In the last six episodes, the fate of the Iron Throne (and who will rule the Seven Kingdoms) is revealed.
Starting in September, Game of Thrones is available on LATAM Play via the app and on individual screens on all flights. Marvel's The Avengers, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War, and Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron are also available.
