Melbourne Airport

Just 13.5 miles [22 km] from the city center, the airport is one of the main ports of entry to Australia, thanks to LATAM’s direct flight from Santiago

Getting there

The SkyBus is the cheapest and fastest way (20 minutes) to get to the city center. You can buy tickets online, at the Southern Cross station, or in the airport’s Terminal 3. It runs 24/7.

Between March 2017 and March 2018, Melbourne Airport welcomed 36 million passengers. This number is expected to increase to 70 million by 2038

Luxury takeoff

In late 2017, the airport inaugurated a “luxury retail precinct” in Terminal 2, where LATAM operates flights. Brands like Tiffany, Burberry, and Salvatore Ferragamo are sharing space under a golden ceiling with modern structures which pays homage to the urban culture of the streets of Melbourne.

Between games and music

In Terminal 2, across from Gate 11, there’s a great area for kids, who can climb ropes and play with an interactive cube. There’s also a piano nearby for anyone who wants to show off their musical skills.

Authentic food

Some of the most important chefs in Melbourne have restaurants in Tullamarine. A highlight to Café Vue, owned by Shannon Bennett (a judge on MasterChef Australia); Frank Camorra’s Bar Pulpo by MoVida; and Brunetti, to enjoy some delicious coffee.
