Before turning into a modern bookstore, Bernat was a cooperative of 50 people who explored the space’s potential. Since 2010, the locale has been promoting workshops, lectures and discussions about literature. In addition, Bernat is home to a lovely café and an exhibition hall.

Referring to the books here as “used” is almost unfair, as they are practically new. This low-cost bookstore offers fixed prices: one book goes for €3; two for €5; and 10 books go for €10. They have seven locations scattered throughout Barcelona.
