Turbulence

The effects caused by the relative movement of disturbed air through which an aircraft is flying, usually described as “bumps on the way,” that don’t affect the flight integrity.

Approach

A series of maneuvers executed by the pilot before reaching the surface of the runway (landing).

Pressurization system

It controls the cabin pressure, as planes fly at high altitudes, by pumping air into the cabin.

HUB

An airport used by airlines to concentrate flight operations and passenger traffic, serving as transfer points to other serviced destinations. For example, LATAM’s hubs are the terminals in Santiago, Lima and São Paulo.
