Anyone passing through Congonhas Airport in the next few days will take part in a very special party: it’s LATAM’s first Christmas! The airport was decorated with wreaths, signs and 8-foot [2.4 m] tall trees with the topper in the shape of an airplane. Not to mention two very cool characters, Captain Bear and Flight Attendant Mama Bear, who are welcoming travelers in the airport’s central lounge. Have a good flight and happy holidays!
The end-of-the-year decorations at the Galeries Lafayette department store are quite popular among Parisians. The main attraction is the tree with a surprising and innovative design, installed in the central atrium.
Thousands of LED lights illuminate the traditional pine tree that’s over 65-foot [20 m] tall at Rockefeller Center. Installed for the first time in 1933, these days the tree is the icon of the celebrations in New York. The lighting ceremony is broadcast live on TV for the whole country, on the Wednesday after Thanksgiving.
