hotels where you can contemplate nature

Txai

Rodovia Ilhéus - Itacaré Km 48, Itacaré, Bahia, Brazil

From end to end, 2.2 miles [3.5 km] of white fine sands, a sea of coconut trees, a soft fog on the rocky shores. Txai’s location could well be its main advantage: a 92-hectare farm perched on the beach at Itacarezinho. But it isn’t. Txai’s greatest virtue is discretion. It’s hidden in the middle of the deep green Atlantic Forest, in an environmentally protected area. All this exuberance for just 38 bungalows. From the entrance hall and the beach, all you can see is green.

Antumalal

Km 2 Camino Pucón-Villarica, Pucón, Chile

This hotel boutique is located by the banks of the Villarrica Lake, surrounded by five hectares of vegetation and volcanoes in Pucón, in central Chile. The décor uses local raw materials, like wool, rocks, and wood to compose the settings — the araucaria panels in the restaurant and the Antumalal room were made when the tree wasn’t protected in the region.
