Delicious, beautiful, and plural: the new special menu for Economy Class brings local ingredients to LATAM flights longer than seven hours
In Santiago, smoked salmon; in Barcelona, jamón serrano; in Lima, ají amarillo; in São Paulo, carne seca; in Cancún, avocado. The LATAM menu, available to Economy Class on flights longer than seven hours, brings to the plane dishes that follow a world food trend: placing value on regional products.
The new catering service offers three options: a hot dish, a vegetarian dish, or a cold, healthy dish, in addition to two types of breakfast, plus drinks and dessert. The recipes, inspired by the flight’s place of origin, are presented in a special manner on a newly designed tray that’s easier to handle. The menu was inspired by a survey conducted by chefs Felipe Arancibia and Hugo Pantano. The LATAM team prepares everything in airport kitchens around the world. The idea is to provide passengers with a sensorial experience, shortening distances by combining the flavors and culture of a destination in a delicious meal with great presentation. Haute cuisine at its best!
