El Dorado Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento International Airport is the third most important airport in Latin America, ranking 46th in the world. At the 2016 World Airport Awards, it was selected as the best airport in South America, with four stars, and received the award for Best Airport Staff on the continent.



Walk around freely

Anyone arriving at the Bogotá airport can store their luggage at Guardaequipajes, a shop located in the international arrivals area that’s open 24/7.


Travel souvenir

The stores El Market Colombia sell handicrafts, food, costume jewelry, records and other items related to local traditions, including the typical sign with the Bogotá bus routes.



(Almost) evergreen flowers

Next to the domestic departures gate, you can find a sample of the rich local flora at the Colombia Tierra de Flores. Some of them, preserved, can last for over a year inside the box.


A toast!

The brewpub Bogotá Beer Company (BBC) has a location inside the airport, where they sell their craft beer. Two styles, with six varieties, are part of the menu. It’s located on the second floor of the domestic terminal.



Have a Colombian coffee

Next to the international arrivals gate, a place catches people’s attention with its aroma. At El Cafetalito, coffee is the star in several presentations.



Yellow and white taxis

Around a thousand cars are authorized to pick up passengers at the airport. They are the most reliable and safest means of transportation and charge a fixed fee.




Buses that are part of the city’s public transportation network. They take passengers to and from the airport and are the cheapest means of transportation.
